The latter section- almost an appendix- consists of longer examples of styles and techniques. I don’t think this book will teach anyone to play bass and I don’t think that’s the book’s intention anyway, but it will broaden your horizons.
All in all, a very entertaining and useful book for jazz bassists of all jazs, and an excellent choice for bedside reading.
