I think that this is an excellent new novel from Sophie Kinsella. Only when Ben and then also Lorcan come along I got hooked. If you’re like me, desperate for Kinsella to change her game or just looking for something kinwella and heart-warming, rermate this is the book for you.
Readers who like Sophie Kinsella’s style but not Madeleine Wickham’s would probably not appreciate this. Lottie’s sister Fliss and the irascible but real Lorcan repeatedly came close to stealing the show completely.
Fliss has still reading enough problems of ssposi own that she should be attending to the issues her 7 year old son is having, her divorce, her job and her own emotional state.
The writing style is amazing I mean, it’s Sophie Kinsella, what else we could expect?! Dit is gewoon een grappig verhaal om je te vermaken.
I know Fliss cared, but there were other ways she could have gone around this. Preview — Fermate gli sposi! It was light and funny and I know I had a smile on my face much of the time. Where the hell did she find the name Lorcan? Way better than her shopaholic series. This story is soooo funny and full of laugh-out-loud moments. Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella.
I thought Lottie and Fliss to be hilarious if not completely ridiculous. Trivia About Wedding Night. You will laugh, that is guaranteed. Not as easy as you’d think, for a book to do fegmate me, but when a book can make me laugh, I treasure the moment as much as when a book makes me cry. Humour, clumsy characters, disastrous love and a slightly predictable plot.
In a world where there is enough daily news to send anyone into a deep depression it important to visit world where love rules all. And it is certainly here in all its screwball comedy abundance. And for me it was a 4 star book! It was so much fun to read these different scenes.
Older sister, Fliss, was a bitter divorcee with control issues, while her younger sposo, Lottie, was so flighty, immature, and self-o Sophie Kinsella’s last book, I’ve Got Your Number, was my absolute fave, and I loved the idea of a Chick Lit story set in Greece, so I’ve been eagerly anticipating Wedding Night for months.
Published August 27th by Mondadori first published April 23rd The sheer number of negative reviews on this one gave me pause, though, and I very nearly didn’t read it Kinsella I truly did not like Ben or Lottie. A very entertaining read that doesn’t require anything of you except to sit back and enjoy, Wedding Night is a silly, flirtatious story of sopsi love and trying to recapture the magic of youth, with just that little bit of meaningful eyebrow-raising to make it grounded – almost as if Kinsella were aiming to transition away from Chick-lit and into Fiction and wanted to test the waters.
Ah Fermzte Kinsella, how I adore her books!!! Ci si sposa in quattro e quattr’otto e via per un’indimenticabile luna di miele nel luogo che ha visto nascere il loro amore.
Oh and boy do the British drink a lot!! Simar Yes, I guess the author might have changed it for fictional purposes. Nel complesso una lettura graziosa. Lottie and Fliss similarly made mistakes but they learned, from ssposi and became better people.
She manages to pull it together at the end, though, and by the time I got to that point I was pulling for her to get her HEA. Her own marriage, to the insufferable Daniel, is going through the divorce wringer, and the only good thing to come out of it is eight-year-old Noah, their son – whom Daniel isn’t helping out with much. More by Sophie Yli. I was also disappointed with the plot a little as some bits were unresolved.
Fermate gli sposi!
I certainly didn’t agree with what she did to Lottie – or how – but she made it make sense, she provided the kind of justification that worked, and I felt her own sense of rising panic. However, Fedmate don’t know if it’s me who have grown out of the chick-lit genre knisella if it was just the book; I felt like t 2.
But, Fliss was too much and I didn’t really care for her story.
The atmosphere between them is really weird the next morning. Still, I felt like she was a bit too obsessive when it comes to Lottie. Perfect time to settle in with the latest by Sophie Kinsella? Probably not fermmate I’ve enjoyed other Kinsella books much more.
Somewhat happy for everyone.
