Sep 13, Ashley rated it really liked it. There are no long digressions, anecdotes or extensive emotional appeals that I find muddle many other books about teaching.

She gives sound advise to teachers on practical approaches to helping students of all ages and levels of reading grow in their comprehension and digestion of text. My biggest take-aways from Tovani are the various comprehension strategies she covered throughout the book.
