Kyosho Calmato 40 sports still a good plane? – RC Groups

I just got one of the older versions second hand this summer, and was absolutely comfortable with it from the get-go. First I discovered that the firewall is not mounted at 90 degrees so xalmato would be several degrees of left thrust if left the way it was.

Kyoshos used to be the better built planes but that was a long time ago, if you sprots buy one or own one you can use clear nail polish on all seams to try stop the cover form peeling off.

I haven’t experimented much with knife-edge flight but making sharp cutting turns basically a sideways S-turn is certainly no problem. If your struts are “flat” it’s fairly easy to bend them to place the wheels aft of psorts CG.
