He loves hockey and all of the women. I have been waiting for this book for the last days more specifically 33, seconds or if you are really interested it has been long hours, am I getting boring?
Piper, I’m the guy for you. So when Piper shows up at his house with a baby-bomb to drop, it doesn’t take much for Erik to suggest the nuclear option: To say that he was a dick to her for the majority of the book would be a gross understatement. I would recommend this if you like your douchebag hero and hockey romance. A Very Merry Hockey Holiday. In my experience in past books of the series it has been the heroine that has been hard to love and the hero that took centre stage for my book love, but here we have a bit of a surprising role reversal, Erik Titov is a hero who needs to accomplish a mountain of redemption, but don’t worry too much I often like my male characters to have a element of arsehole.
And it also supports Piper’s intuition that Erik isn’t as douche as he might have been. Man, I know why I totally disliked Lucas. Are your cheeks feeling a little pink yet? Story-wise, Blue Lines had the depth and character development I was looking for. I was so annoyed with Erik for more than half of the book. Sure we hear about it but we don’t experience it. He spent an unforgettable night with Piper but decided he needed to forget her. I am amazed that this is Toni’s first book.
Overall would definitely recommend this book if your a fan of angsty-pregnancy reads.
