THe second half of the book is a week layout of some issues or temptations you make come across with these life changes.

Personally, I did not learn anything new, but as I mentioned, I have read a lot of these types of books, and am more focused on healthy eating than weight loss not that the two are exclusive.

No one’s called me that since the ninth grade. When I became an adult, my love of fine food led me to cooking school, but my attitudes toward food really started to change on one of my frankrl to Italy. Unfortunately, the humor just doesn’t translate at all into print. In addition to her monthly column in Health Magazine, she is regularly featured in national publications from The New York Times to the weekly entertainment magazines. Most of the chapters in this book also include recipes at the end.


You do not need to read this book to understand common sense about eating. I became a naturally thin person, one of those people you looked at in high school and wondered how they did it.

For me, it’s too much to think about. Overeating can ruin your entire meal and your entire day. She writes just like she speaks. It’s a world of variety, and also a world of temptation. A half eaten piece of cake with a bunch of salt on it is no longer tempting or tasty!

So, starting now, you must downsize. Maybe not to your face. Many of them are a lot like you. I totally agree with her.

However, when I cook, taste is just as important to me as nutritional content. And yet we keep getting fatter. I didn’t like some of “rules” and didn’t agree with some of them. Her advice boils down to eat what you truly enjoy, but eat less and by less, she means ridiculously little of everything. Start practicing now, and in just days you’ll feel more like yourself again. The back section of the book outlines everything Bethenny eats in a week and it disturbed me.

As you can probably tell, I’ve replaced my dieting obsession with an obsession for cooking and eating the very best food, and sharing it with everyone.
